 Choosing the right domain name is an important part of your quest for success on the Internet.
The domain isn't just a fundamental element of the web site, but also a matter of user-friendliness. Good domain names, which are easy to remember and spell, are the Internet equivalent to a shop on a busy high street.
 The domain name and the text on the website should repeatedly use common keywords that relate to the subject matter of the site. This will help enable search engines such as Google to present the website in search results for the relevant keywords.
Having decided on your domain name, you then need to check whether it is available or has been registered already by somebody else. This is done by performing a whois lookup, an online search tool that provides details of domain name registrations.
 Once a site is designed it will then need a place to be stored online so that others can view it. This space will then have the domain name pointed to it so that when www.yoursite.com is typed in your site will appear.
