 Website accessibility is a legal necessity, so it is far more than a question of design desirability. My methodology has always been to design websites with clear content and navigation and consider all the issues associated with web accessibility, even the ones you might not think of. I can build my websites, offer advice and guidance to ensure your website meets the standards set out by W3C so that people with disabilities can still use and find the information on your site.
 In the UK alone there are over 2 million people with sight related problems and more than 8.5 million people with disabilities. Populations of countries across the developed world undoubtedly have a similar number of people with special needs. It is of course illegal to discriminate against them.
A properly designed site that takes accessibility into account will also help to provide better results in search engine results if done correctly. |
